Napanuod ko TV ang mga pinuon ng La Union na nagpahayag ng suporta kay PGMA kasabay ng kabi-kabilang protesta sa kalunsuran ng Maynila at ilang lalawigan. Sabi nila hindi raw sapat ang 200,000 na tao para sa bihing iyon ang boses ng mamamayang Pilipino.
Tiyak kong mayorya ng mamamayan ng La Union ang galit na sa mga katiwalian, kasinungalingan, at pasismo ng estado. tiyak kong hindi ito ang kinabukasan na nais ng kabataan.

A Call to the Filipino Youth to Stand Up for Truth
As the nation faces intense moral and political crisis, the Filipino youth is called upon to take up its role as bearers of the future and stand up for truth and accountablity in government. The Filipino youth must act now.
We are youth, students and professionals from different organizations, schools, colleges, universities, workplaces and communities. We unite in collective aspiration to knock on the conscience of our leaders and to awaken hope in the spirit of the Filipino people to bring forth a movement for truth and social change.
We commend Rodolfo "Jun" Lozada, Jr. for divulging truths with regard to anomalies and corrupt acts in government. We admire the courage and determination he showed as he faced efforts of government forces to harass his person in order to stop him from testifying in Senate investigations.
We express our solidarity with various church groups, the business sector, people's organizations and concerned Filipino citizens who have similarly expressed confidence in Mr. Lozada's sincerity and credibility.
We believe that national leaders should be accountable to the people and that government officials should portray the highest standards of morality and integrity to be able to propel the nation towards genuine progress, justice and peace.
As young people moved with our conscience and aspirations for good governance and accountability for wrong deeds done, we condemn the following acts by government:
• The attempted cover-up and past and present whitewash of evidence implicating Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, the First Gentleman and the First Family, along with Malacanang's minions, in numerous issues of bribery and corruption and other shady deals of government;
• The gross and systematic plunder of the country's coffers and resources for the benefit of a few influential government officials and cronies;
• The Arroyo administration's shameless disregard of the intensity and effects of such allegations and its continuous brushing off of still unresolved issues of bribery and corruption despite overwhelming public clamor for morality, transparency and accountability; and
• The blatant and unabashed misuse of the administration machinery, including the Department of Justice, the Philippine National Police, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and other agencies of government, to conspire in the further deception of the people and betrayal of public trust.
The government has lost its moral ascendancy to govern due to the long list of scandals, electoral fraud and corruption issues that have mired its rule. The Arroyo administration has long ceased to perform as a role model government for the youth. It has caused the widespread disillusionment among young people and have been a disappointment to the youth's desire to instill reforms in government.
We call on the government of Mrs. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo to stop efforts to cover-up the truth and be accountable for its immoral and corrupt acts. The government's desperate efforts to continuously cling to power have sown deep social discontent and division among the people.
We strongly believe in the sovereign right that rests on the people to change a morally bankrupt and corrupt regime with a conscientious leadership that can genuinely unite the nation and can bring forth meaningful social change.

Ang paglantad ni Rodolfo “Jun” Lozada sa kanyang mga nalalaman kaugnay ng maanomalyang NBN-ZTE Broadband deal ng gobyerno ay muling nagdidiin sa mga Arroyo sa pangungurakot nito. Ang pagdukot kay Lozada sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport ng mga tauhan ng Malacanang ay nagpapakita lamang kung gaano na ito desperado na pigilan ang anumang pagsisiwalat sa mga kataksilan nito.
Ang pagharap ni Lozada sa press conference at pagdinig sa Senado ay muling naglantad sa pangungumisyon ng dating Comelec Chair Benjamin Abalos sa naturang Deal hanggang $130 milyon, at ang papel ni FG Mike Arroyo dito. Samu’t saring paninira kay Lozada at pagtatanggi sa mga impormasyong inilalahad niya ang ginagawa naman ng mga cronies ni Arroyo sa Senado’t Kabinete.
Subalit hindi masiraan ang kredibiliad ng bagong testigo. Nagsasalita si Lozada batay sa kanyang nalalaman, kanyang karanasan bilang burukrata, at paghuhusga na dapat ang mga ito ay dapat malaman ng taumbayan. Nananatili ang banta sa kanyang buhay at pamilya; ngunit ang pagpapasya niyang lumantad ay umani ng malawak na suporta mula sa mamamayan.
Hungkag ang sagot ng Malakanyang na pagbuwelta lamang ito sa administrasyon dahil maraming nasagasaan ng pograma nila sa graft and corruption. Patuloy nilang ipinagmamalaki ang ang programa sa anti-graft and corruption sa kabila ng hindi nila mapaliwaang ang mga akusayon ng korapsyon laban sa kanila. Patuloy nilang nilililang ang mga mamayan sa pagsasabi na umaangat ang ekonomiya ngunit hindi ito nararamdaman ng mga sikmura ng mamamayan.
Ang pag-alis kay Jose de Venecia sa speakership ng House of Representatives ay tanda ng lalong pagkakahati at paghina ng naghaharing pangkatin ni Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. Nagmimistulang simpleng pagbuwelta lamang ng Malacanang sa pagtestimonya ni Joey de Venecia sa broadband deal ang pagkakatanggal kay JDV sa puwesto; ngunit may iba pang agenda ang Malacanang sa Kongreso – ang tiyakin ang pananatili ng paghaharing Arroyo kahit matapos ang 2010 sa pamamagitan ng pagharang ng anumang impeachment laban sa Pangulo, at iratsada ang matagal na nitong balak na baguhin ang Konstitusyon.
Hindi na matago ng Malacanang ang kabulukan ng pamamahala nito. Hindi magtatagal na marami pang ibang bahong maibubunyag mula soo loob at labas ng kampo nina Arroyo. Samantalang nag aalimpuyo na ang galit ng mamamayan sa tindi ng pambubusabos ni Arroyo, lalong kumikitid ang mga alyado ni Arroyo kahit sa hanay ng mga reaksyonaryo.
Marring kinokodena ng Anakbayan ang matinding korapsyon at katawalian ng gubyerno ni Arroyo. Lubos nang malala ang kabulukan nito at hindi na mapipigilan ang pagsambulat, patunay ng sunod-sunod na paglantad at pagbubunyag ng maraming maanomalyang mga kotrata.
Kinokodena din ng Anakbayan ang pagtatangkang pagtakpan ito sa pamamgitan ng pagdukot kay Lozada. Patunay lamang ito ng kadesperaduhan ng administrasyon ni Arroyo at ang kwalang respeto nito sa karapatang-pantao at sa mga proseso ng hustisya at mimo ng gubyerno.
Kinakailangang kumilos na ang mga mamamayan upang panagutin ang mga may sala sa matinding korapsyon sa gubyerno. Ipadagundong ang panawagang patalsikin ang korap na pangulong si Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
